Ken Smith is a fine art photographer who focuses on the beauty of nature on a macro and micro level.  He believes in making a photograph … not just taking a photograph.  Using the camera and the creative process of making a photograph is a craft that is a continuing learning process. Also, for him the image should have soul, and for the viewer some sense of emotion when viewing the image.

For the past six years, he has travel extensively In the United States, discovering the unique beauty of the red rocks of Sedona, to the majestic mountains of the Olympic National park, to the dramatic coast of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

He is based in Galveston where he spends his winters. He spends his summers on the rugged Maine coast.

He is a member of the Texas Photographic Society, Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council, and the Houston Audubon Society.
